The story revolves around a man named Albert and his horse Joey during World War I.  Joey is sold to a calvary unit during the war and shipped to France. The horse goes through extraordinary battles and events that land it on both sides of the war and then as the war ends, Joey is all alone.  At the same time, his faithful owner Albert is looking to get his beloved horse back.

The puppets that are used in this Broadway show (made by the world-renowned Handspring Puppet Company) are extremely realistic and a definite highlight of the show.  The show itself is a little bit less than three hours long and is great for anyone who is ten years old or older.
