Kid Rock and Cheryl Crow To Go on Tour Together

Published by Ohad Nezer at 10:35 AM under Music

5 time grammy award winner Kid Rock will go on his "Born Free" tour this coming summer.  The tour will also feature guest star Sheryl Crow.

This is a long awaited and highly anticipated partnership that both Crow and Rock have been trying to plan for awhile. Both feel that they work together very well and that their music styles really complement each other. Kid Rock states that a live album of songs from this tour could be a possibility if all of the right things happen at the right times.

Fans, too, have been hoping to see Sheryl Crow out on the Kid Rock Tour. Fortunately for them, it has happen sooner rather than later. Both singers will be busy during the spring of 2011 as well. Kid Rock begins a tour in early April that will take him into Canada. Sheryl Crow starts a United States tour in May that will have her headlining before finishing in time to hook up with Kid Rock's Born Free tour dates for the Summer. Crow will not be at the July 15 or July 27 concerts, however.

If you have been waiting to see these two great musical artists, now is your chance for you to get your wish on this jamming summer tour.

Rain - A Tribute to The Beatles - Shines on Broadway

Published by Chris Wan at 12:30 PM under Broadway Shows | Concerts | Music | Shows | Theater

[youtube:AHKt3nF__Gw]

An exciting musical and theatrical show for all ages, Broadway Rain Tickets are a huge hit. The Beatles tribute band chronicles the legendary band's career through song, attire, film and hairstyles. Experiencing the music from the very beginning through the late sixties, is a visual and musical event that every Beatles fan, young and old, should see.

Rain puts the audience smack in the middle of the Beatles musical sensation and career, through music as well as actual films and commercials played on the stage's backdrop. Fans will listen, watch, clap, sing and dance along with the tribute band.

Although the band will take the audience from the Ed Sullivan show through the long haired, psychedelic late sixties era, the show is kept clean and void of any drug or sexual innuendos. Kids will love the performance as they sing along with their parents. It is a fun nostalgic evening out on Broadway.

Throughout the show, there are close up camera shots of the Fab Four look-a likes projected on a large screen. The uncanny resemblances, the note for note music and the stage dress for each period in the Beatles musical career, brings each fan back to the good old days. Currently, this event can be seen at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, New York. Tickets to the Broadway Show, Rain is what everyone is scrambling to get.

Most Expensive Baseball Teams to Watch

Published by Chris Wan at 10:40 AM under Sports

You ever wondered how the cost of your ballpark experience compares with that of fans of other teams?  Well, wonder no more.  Team Marketing Report released it's annual Fan Cost Index this month, which outlines the average cost for a family of four to attend a Major League Baseball game. The research takes into account the following common expenditures for each MLB Venue.

* Two adult average price tickets

* Two child average price tickets

* Four small soft drinks

* Two small beers

* Four hot dogs

* Two programs

* Parking

* Two adult-size caps

The sum of these costs is termed the Fan Cost Index and represents the total expected cost for a family of four to attend a home game (minus travel expense).  As you might expect, teams from the East Coast and Chicago head the list while some of the teams with a smaller population to pull from make for the least expensive fan experience.

Today!! Christie Brinkley's Debut in "Chicago"!

Published by Ohad Nezer at 11:13 AM under Broadway Shows

Former supermodel Christie Brinkley is making her first guest star performance debut today, in the hit musical Chicago.

Brinkley will play the lead role of Roxy Hart – the Vaudeville entertainer wannabe, who is charged with the murder of her loved one.  Brinkley will perform in the musical for 11 weeks starting today (Aprli 8th until June 19th).

Brinkley, now 57 has had some brief acting performances in her career, including two appearances in Chevy Chase’s National Lampoon Vacation Series.  This current gig however, is by far the most demanding as an actress, taking a lead role in a Broadway hit musical.

Chicago is the 5th longest running musical in history, consecutively running since 1996, it has been played over 5900 times!  The role of Roxy Hart has been performed in the past by many superstars including such as Brooke Shields, Melanie Griffith and Michelle Williams.

Originally scheduled to begin on April 4th, Brinkley debut was pushed to the 8th due to minor muscle injury.  “I can’t wait to go on stage, Roxy’s character is so energetic, it’s so much fun to play as her” said Brinkley.

You can find tickets to all the “Chicago” shows featuring Brinkley here.
